Depp denies Riddler role on radio

Actor as baffled as anyone else by Telegraph's certainty that he's playing Riddler in Batman 3...

Together with the more wave-making rumours of Cher being in talks with Christopher Nolan for the role of Catwoman in the Dark Knight sequel (named as 'The Caped Crusader' in the little-believed rumour-cloud started by the Telegraph)was the slightly less likely news that Johnny Depp was also negotiating to play The Riddler.

The subject came up when Depp was talking on a radio show in Florida, when the presenter was asked by a listener to quiz the Pirates star on the Riddler rumours. Depp replied: "I heard about that. Not that I know of...It seems like it’d be a fun gig for a while, yeah."
