Wolfman bumped to Halloween 2009
Martin Anderson
Benicio Del Toro will just have to contain himself...
According to Fangoria, Universal's remake of The Wolf Man will be moving away from its April release slot to an October-time release. The Easter slot would have put the film up against the highly anticipated Monsters Vs. Aliens and, let's face it, Halloween is a better time for it. Kate Beckinsale's Whiteout comic horror adaptation has also been moved to the increasingly-crowded Autumn horror schedule.
In our opinion, April was a dumb time to release a werewolf movie, although admittedly it did no harm to Joe Dante's The Howling.
