Over at io9.com, one of their correspondents has sent them in a set picture from the shoot of the Doctor Who Christmas specials which, as we're sure you know by now, will see David Tennant regenerate into Matt Smith. And it confirms two major pieces of casting that, understandably, not everyone will want to know about.

The site has a picture, the link to which is at the bottom, which sees David Tennant standing next to John Simm, who is coming back as The Master to help see Tennant off.

And stood next to them? Timothy Dalton, in the get up of what looks like Time Lord clobber. Io9 speculates that he's down to play the Chancellor of the High Council of Time Lords, and we suspect they might be right.

The link to the picture is here. And Doctor Who returns to our screens in November, with The Waters Of Mars....
